2015 Diversity Research Symposium

The Office of Diversity is pleased to announce that Indiana State University will host the 2015 Diversity Research Symposium. The theme for the 2015 Diversity Research Symposium is "Community: Embracing All Identities" and will showcase interdisciplinary research in the areas of diversity.

Check In: 8:30 to 11 a.m.

Registration is $55.00 for staff/faculty/community members and $10 for students. This event is open to the public.

African Student Union Coffee Hour

Come and meet students from many African countries and sample coffee and treats from Africa. Find out more about their upcoming event: African Global Night. The African Student Union has been working hard to prepare and tickets will be available at the coffee hour in the Rhoads Hall lounge for purchase during the coffee hour.

African American Student Leadership Conference 2015

The African American Student Leadership Conference is an annual event planned and executed by student leaders in partnership with C.E.B. AACC, Black student organizations and campus partners. The main objective is to provide a culturally relevant leadership and professional development opportunity for students. The conference features an innovative national keynote speaker and practical workshop sessions presented by Indiana State University staff, faculty, alumni and graduate students.

Sycamore Safe Zone Level 1 workshop

Sycamore Safe Zone (SSZ) is an ally development program created through the Office of Diversity to establish a campus that is safe and affirming for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) students, faculty and staff.  The Sycamore Safe Zone program aims to create a visible network of support for LGBTQ individuals and their allies by providing an avenue through which any member of the Indiana State Community can show their support. The program also creates an educational experience through the Safe Zone Workshop.
