Guests will spend part of the day on the beautiful 印第安纳州 State University campus and work with guests, Dr. 蒂姆Lautzenheiser, Executive Director of Attitude Concepts, Inc., Mr. 兰迪Greenwell, retired Director of Bands at Lawrence Central High School. 两个博士. 劳岑海泽和弗朗索瓦. It is imperative those students attending do meet the criteria outlined below. This will afford the presented curriculum to embrace more engaging hands-on experiences with the participants.

简单地说, a smaller group of SELECT STUDENT LEADERS creates more possibilities of developing a collective synergy that will have a lasting imprint on their own future and those they will be working with along the way. This is not about CONVINCING PEOPLE TO BECOME LEADERS, but rather SERIOUS TRAINING FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY CHOSEN TO BE LEADERS. This is going to be incredibly fast moving and it will require complete “buy-in” from the get-go.

Primarily 11th and 12th graders should be the make-up of the workshop. These should be students who already demonstrate a high degree of positive participation, 积极主动的榜样, those who exemplify a healthy open-minded attitude. We are going to DIG MUCH DEEPER than we have in the past, there will not be any room for those who might be timid or ambivalent.

蒂姆Lautzenheiser serves as Senior Vice President of Education for Conn Selmer, Inc. His career spans ten years of college band directing at Northern Michigan University, 密苏里大学, 以及新墨西哥州立大学. After serving as Executive Director of Bands of America, he created Attitude Concepts, Inc. to accommodate the many requests for student leadership workshops, convention speaking and professional development presentations for educators. 蒂姆的书，由G.I.A. 兰迪Greenwell has been an Educational Support Manager with Conn-Selmer, since January 2017. He is the former Director of Bands and Performing Arts Department Chair of the nationally recognized Lawrence Central High School Performing Arts Department, 印第安纳波利斯, 印第安纳州. Randy's tenure as 音乐 Director with the Greenwood Community Band began in 2018.

During his time as a music educator, the Lawrence Central High School Marching Band was an eighteen-time Bands of America Grand National Finalist, a two-time Grand National Champion. The Lawrence Central High School Marching Band was a "2001 Sudler Shield" award recipient and a four-time Class A 印第安纳州 State Champion. They participated in prestigious national events such as the Tournament of Roses and Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades. His wind ensembles were consistent state finalists, being named ISSMA 管乐团 State Champion on five separate occasions. 除了, the LC 爵士乐团s were awarded honor band status at several jazz festivals throughout his tenure at Lawrence Central.
